Infrared Thermography:

   By viewing your home with an infrared camera during the blower door test, we can detect deficiencies that cannot be determined any other way.  Take a look at the sample pictures below with their narratives and you’ll see just how comprehensive our assessment of your home really is.  In the thermal images, lighter colors indicate warmer temperatures while dark colors are cooler.  The brighter the color, the warmer the area and visa versa.  Ideally, if your home is viewed from the outside on a cold day, it should appear cold (dark).  From the inside, lighter (warmer) colors are preferred.  The temperature at the upper left of each image is at the location of the cross hairs in each image.
